Healthy Halloween Tips and Resources For Parents

Posted on Oct 24, 2012 by Maggie LaBarbera

Halloween is not only about candy.  You can use this holiday to help kids learn  about how to portion control, limit their candy consumption and nutritious foods that are orange!

Here are some great (short and to the point) articles for parents.  These were written by dietitians who are also moms.  They know you just need a few specific actions that are easy to implement to help control candy consumption during Halloween.

And don't forget to have kids put on a pedometer and see how much they walk.  Halloween can be a great way to make family walks around the neighborhood a part of your daily routine.
