Kids Cook Monday- fun recipes and ways to encourage healthy nutrition

Encouraging your kids to be involved in the kitchen is a great way to have fun, connect children to food in a positive way, provides hands on learning, a sense of accomplishment to share their creations, and gives kids opportunities to understand more about nutrition!

I think this is a fabulous idea. We have always done WOO HOO Wednesdays. On Wednesdays, the kids no matter how young or old would cook. Little ones did things like pouring and stirring and big ones did stuff like measuring and cutting. By the time they were 15, the kids could make a full dinner and knew how to make anything they wanted. It was so fun (we did not care about messes made or things being perfect). The kids would always make sure they were there for Wednesday night dinner. Many times, they brought their friends to enjoy in the fun of cooking.

My son has lost 100 Lbs in 18 months, and every morning he has a Joan's Sweet Treat for breakfast. They come in two flavors Original and Raisin Delight.
