Well the reality is you have the opportunity to make a big difference. Eating at home, taking your kids grocery shopping with you, having them help in the kitchen are all opportune moments to teach them about healthy eating. What is fueling the weight gain of our children?

Here are some interesting facts to consider:

  • The Agribusiness now produces 3800 calories of food a day for every American, that is 500 calories more than it produced 30 years ago.
  • Most restaurants serve portion sizes that are enough for two or three servings.
  • People will eat 30% more food if given a larger portion.
  • Most fast foods have 1000+ meals on their menu, some with 60 grams of fat
