This month is national heart month and that means it time to give our hearts a little extra love and attention.

Start this month with one goal that will help your child and family have a healthier heart.
Here are some ideas:
-
Have your child's cholesterol checked at their next pediatric visit
-
Get pedometers and start family walks (goal is 10K steps each day)
-
Take the kids to indoor or outdoor play area for some fun physical activity
-
Reduce salt in their diet, read food labels and choose lower sodium foods
-
Reduce sugar in their diet, start with the breakfast cereals. Look for more fiber and less sugar.
More resources for kids at home and classrooms!
