Whole Wheat Snickerdoodles

A tasty snack the kids will have a blast helping to make


  • Butter ½ cup
  • Packed brown sugar ¾ cup
  • 1 egg
  • Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
  • Whole wheat flour 1-1/2 cups
  • Baking soda ½ teaspoon
  • Cream of tartar ½ teaspoon
  • White sugar 2 tablespoons
  • Ground cinnamon ½ teaspoon


Kids: Cream butter and sugar until well blended. Add egg and vanilla. Beat well.
Kids: Add dry ingredients.
Kids: Shape dough into 1 inch balls and roll in sugar cinnamon mixture.
Kids: Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten slightly with a round drinking glass.
Adults: Bake at 375 degrees for 8 – 10 minutes.
