These cookies are perfect for grabbing out the door in the morning or as an afternoon snack.
Ingredients
Sugar 1 cup(s)
Vanilla Extract 1 tablespoon
Peanut Butter 1/2 cup
Egg 1 each
Butter 1/2 cup
Water 1/4 cup
All Purpose Flour 1/2 cup and Whole Wheat Flour 1/2 mixed
Raisins 3/4 cups
Cheerios Cereals 3 cups
All Purpose Flour 2 tablespoons
Baking Soda 1/2 teaspoon
Rolled Oats 3/4 cup
Salt 1/4 teaspoon
Directions
Adults: Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Kids: In a large bowl, mix together the sugar, peanut butter, water, vanilla and eggs until smooth. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; stir into the batter. Mix in the oats and raisins and stir in the cereal.
Together: Drop ¼ cupful of dough onto ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten cookies to 1 inch thick.
Adults: Bake for 12 minutes until cookies are lightly browned at the edges. Let stand on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
Substitute chocolate chips or dried cranberries for the raisins. Or try Rice Krispy’s instead of cheerios
Tip: Depending on your family's sweet tooth, you can try reducing the sugar by 1/4 to 1/2 and they may not even notice! You may have to experiment a bit with less sugar.
