It is back to school time. Here are some quick healthy tips to help your child start off on a healthy note:
Check ups and immunizations: It is a good idea to have your child have a physical exam and eye exam before school starts. You want to make sure your child can see clearly so there are no hindrances in their learning. I know I needed glasses by 2nd grade but didn't realize that I needed them until I was really struggling to read the board. I waited to tell my mom because I did not want glasses! So best to have the eyes check since they can change quickly in children.
It is also important to make sure that your child is up to date on their immunizations. With so many children in one building, infections can spread quickly. If you are not sure about immunization schedules, here is the CDC parent friendly list of immunization requirements for children 0-6 yrs old and 7 to 18 yrs old.
