Part 1 - simple tips on decreasing your calorie intake

Many of us, we will join millions of people pledging our New Years Resolution to lose weight.
Because this will affect many of parents, we wanted to share some weight loss information to help you get started.
Losing weight is really not that hard. (yeah right!) actually, losing weight is a matter of burning more calories than you take in. So what exactly does that mean?
Taking in: this is what you put into your body
ways to reduce your intake (or what you eat)
- measure your foods so you can control portions
- weigh your meat (again so you can control portions
- write down what you eat in a journal (studies show this helps you eat less because most of us are not aware of how much we actually eat!)
- use a smaller plate
- start by loading up your plate with green leafy vegetables (low in calories but very high in nutrition)
- skip the bread
- substitute high fiber, 100% whole grains for white rice, pasta and breads (fiber helps fill you up and satisfy your hunger)
- eat an apple ( it has a natural appetite suppressant)
- go nonfat on your dairy
For many of us, busy schedules and lives make it very difficult to monitor our intake.
If that is your situation, a planned diet that provides pre-planned meal plans may work best for you.
There are also some great and very healthy diets that will delivery your meals to your door. A bit more pricy but will definitely help keep you on track with your diet plan.
