Food Prices During Thanksgiving Infographics

Wednesday Nourishing Graphics:

We are happy to share this infographic that further tells the story about the value of food during Thanksgiving.

The USDA has released these graphics that share the cost of Thanksgiving meal. Even though it costs higher than the average meal, it still is a great savings when you compare it to the cost of eating out.

There is a great deal of financial benefit to eating at home even when the price of food has risen slightly.    And let's not forget all the other benefits you reap by cooking at home, especially if you bring the kids in to the kitchen to help you.

Compare the budget shopping tips we have been sharing with you over the last couple of weeks  along with the economical value of cooking at home and enjoy a wonderful, healthy Thanksgiving dinner with your loved ones.

Below these graphics are some real costs of food items commonly used as part of the Thanksgiving meal.

The USDA gathered volunteers from around the country to actually go shopping and find the standard cost for these food items.  This survey avoided any discounts that family might receive during Thanksgiving including a free turkey from work.
