Here she is again. I just have to say how much I admire and love her.
What a great way to promote healthy eating to children. A Dr Suess book was rewritten to promote healthy choices to children and Michelle Obama is seen in this video reading to children.
Kids love to be read to. Who doesn't have a warm memory from childhood of an adult reading to them. I remember how special it was when our teacher would turn down the lights and tell us to put our heads down on the desk. Then she begin "Charlotte's Web". That was third grade! and I still remember it.
My grandson who is only 17 months old brings me a book and then he turns around and backs up to my lap so he can sit with me while I read to him. Yes, so adorable!
Reading to children a wonderful children's story is great way to help kids associate warm memories, creative stories, fun, colorful images with healthy eating!
here is a summary of the new Cat in the Hat story:
With the help of the staff and equipment at a Seussian spa, the Cat in the Hat explains the basics of healthy living, from eating right and getting enough exercise and sleep, to having a positive body image, to the distance and speed of a typical sneeze!
