With school underway, kids are pulling out their iphones and ipads even more than ever. Many schools are incorporating some reading and homework apps using these mobile devices.
They certainly have their place. But did you ever wonder just how much kids are using their mobile devices? It got me thinking when my sister complained about her 10 year old granddaughter always being on her iphone or ipad. (let's leave the "should a 10 year old even have her own devices out of this blog)
With more and more apps on these devices, kids can really stay busy texting, playing games, socializing, sharing pictures etc.
So I did a little research and found this infographics that gives some surprising data. (You know I love pictures-they really do tell a 1000 words!)
Hmm. you might want to stop and take notice. Are they sleeping with it by their bedside, taking it to the dinner table? freak if they can't find it?
Nourish Thought for the Day:
For healthy kids, it is recommended that they spend no more than 2 hours a day in front of a screen. Screens include mobile devices!
