Celebrate American Education Week

Posted on Nov 20, 2013 by Maggie LaBarbera

American Education Week is a reminder to all of us about the importance of education to our children and to our country's future.

Today, as part of that week is a special day that highlights our appreciation for the education support professionals (ESPs) that work in the public education system that teaches millions of children and adults throughout our great nation.

Do you want smaller class sizes for students, professional respect for educators, and the resources necessary to give all children access to a great public school? Then take this pledge to "Raise Your Hand" to support our nation's public schools--for American Education Week and beyond. Then, share the pledge with your social networks.

Enjoy this infographic that gives some great facts about the ESPs who support our children's education.  You might be surprised to know that over 2.9 million ESP work in our public schools.  Over 75%, (that's over 2,175,000) work in the K-12 grade level.

So when you pick up your children today, give a special thanks to the support staff at your child's school.

Thank you from Nourish Interactive team!
